The crew at AZFT hosted a memorable evening highlighted by a demonstration of Mr. Tsutomu Ito's watchmaking prowess. Ito-san flew from Japan, set up shop, and assembled a Grand Seiko 9S85 "Hi-Beat" Watch movement for those present. Through his translator, he was both informative and entertaining.

His comment when finished was, "it's alive" ...
and the surgeon is satisfied ...
After the movement was together, he took a few minutes to demonstrate some of the proprietary technology that goes into the latest GS movements. Here are some comparison shots of a test done on a traditional spring vs. one made of Spron.
