Hi everybody,
I've the opportunity to represent this House over the whole Scandinavia.
But before going on with them, I'd like to have your different feelings, feedback and see if there is a market for those watches here since they are quiet expensive (85.000 SEK +).

Hello, and welcome to Klocksnack!

If you wouldn't mind answering some questions that have been raised in this thread and we have yet to found answers to:
-Does Louis Moinet make their movements in-house, or is it outsourced and made by some other third party? In that case the origins and any changes made to the movements made by Louis Moinet would be much appreciated to know!
-Are the cases made in house or bought from an external source? And in that case, what is that third party?

Of course there could be a variation between the different priced models, but since the answers aren't easily available online and the watches go for a decent amount, us enthusiasts would love to be aware of what we are investing in :)

Thanks for your question AdamST!
Louis Moinet has used some famous and strong movements in the past, like the efficient and undestroyable Valjoux 7750.
But all the recent collections are equipped with amzing in-house calibers. The case is also a full in-house creation, made into different materials but mostly in gold 18K. You can also have Steel, Grade 5 Titanium or Ceramic. The design's case is unique and is a part of the LM DNA with its 6 screws.
The CEO, Jean-Marie Schaller, has been doing an amazing job from the Louis Moinet heritage, for almost 15 years now. When you enter into the universe of this niche brand, you understand this is something unique and very special. The productions doesn't exceed 1000 units per year. All collections are limited according a time unit: 12 / 24 / 365 . And this House is the only one using so rare materials like lunar and mars meteorites or authentic fossilized dinosaur bone, estimated to date back 150 million years ! Indeed Louis Moinet was not only the inventor of the Chronograph (1816, one century in advance before the other inventors) but also a great astronomer. He has made his own chronograph to help himself in his astronomical studies. He was a real genius and the Manufacture Louis Moinet is trying to honour his spirit by being as creative and enthusiast as him.

Below the link of a nice video speaking about Louis Moinet and its chronograph.
