The AIRMAN "DC-4" is GLYCINE's way of paying tribute to the DC-4 built by American aircraft manufacturer Douglas Aircraft Company which was, to a great extent, the inspiration for the conception and birth of the legendary AIRMAN. The legendary DC-4 is an American commercial aircraft with four piston engines which began its career as a military transport plane and was later used in civil air transport all over the world after the Second World War. It was also the DC-4 which, in 1953, led Glycine to conceive the legendary AIRMAN.
The Airman DC4 is a true pilots watch with double 24-hour display functions. Configured with an automatic rhodanised GL 293 movement (ETA specification) and decorated with Glycines own "Côtes de Genève" engraved airplane and viewable behind the exhibition mineral crystal case-back. The luxurious matte black dial has a magnified date window at 3 with red numerals and a domed sapphire crystal.
