News in Israel this morning are flaring up with a story about a gray handler that got caught red handed at the airport due to a badly calculated instagram post.
As far as I can tell the "collection" consisted mostly of Patek Philippe and Rolex watches, anything from SS to rapper level bling pieces.
Customs agency estimates the total worth at 1.5M euro (though I am not sure if this is the EU market price or what these would cost in our local market)
The handler was caught in the act of smuggling them into the country undeclared.
A further search into his residence uncovered more hidden pieces.
Funny thing is, its an owner of a well known gray handling business, that most likely got away with this for years - adding an undeclared piece to the stock "here and there"
I thought this would be of interest to the board seeing the amount of wait list and gray VS. AD discussion.
And oh, yeah- all watches will be auctioned off by local "kronofogden"
