Introducing the TRASKA Chronograph
Powered by the Seiko NE86, two symmetrical subdials use transparent discs to display minutes on the left and running seconds on the right. The tungsten tachymeter bezel is designed to measure speed between 50 and 200 units per hour. Protected by our signature steel hardening process and water-resistant to 75 meters, the Chronograph plays gracefully with convention while channeling the robust minimalism for which TRASKA is known.
Once upon a time, the plan was to release the Chronograph alongside the Jump Hour. But as the Jump Hour is still in development and the Chronograph is ready, we didn’t want to keep this from you any longer. We think it’s something uniquely TRASKA that honors watchmaking tradition in our own distinct way.
Like all TRASKA models, every small detail is meticulously thought out, and nothing exists without a purpose. Take the tungsten tachymeter bezel, for example. We wanted something a little bit different that catches the eye in a subtle way. At the same time, our watches are known for durability, so we searched for an element that could compete with hardened stainless steel used for the rest of the watch.
Now, have a look at the two subdials. While we could have used hands to display elapsed minutes and running seconds, we wanted to challenge convention. Transparent discs suspend the numerals over a printed red line, making them appear as if they are floating above the dial. This is the kind of harmony between form and function that gets us excited.
Another carefully thought-out decision — perhaps the most vital of all — was the choice of movement. We considered a number of Swiss-made options before selecting the Japanese Seiko NE86. We chose it because it is 0.3 mm thinner than its closest competitor, uses a column wheel for less wear and tear, and has a vertical clutch, meaning it can run continuously without sustaining damage.

The TRASKA Chronograph will be in stock and ready to ship on Sunday, March 1, at 11:00 AM ET
The launch model will be in just one color, Tungsten Gray. Limited stock will be available. The first 100 pieces will ship immediately upon launch; remaining orders will ship in mid-late April.
Once these sell out, and if we decide to make more, we will have a seven-month production time, minimum. So if the TRASKA Chronograph catches your eye, be sure to claim yours on the 1st. We won’t be running reservations for this one — it will be strictly first-come, first-served.
That’s all the watch news for today,
Jon
