In 1991, a Japanese publisher "World Photo Press" released a special magazine titled, "World Wrist Watch Time Spec No. 7, World Mook 30". In it featured various military watch prototypes submitted to US Army including MB Micro-tec.
Caption reads: "In the summer of 1989, a watch based on a new specification was being tested by the US Army when we visited Picatinny Arsenal for an interview. The Army required us to cover the brand name with tape, fearing it would be an advertisement for the manufacturer."
