What a mind blowing event!
These were the first words I said to my wife when I met her for the trip back home to Sweden!
But let's start from the beginning!!??
My Dear Forum Friend @Aludic managed to convince @watchstick_81 who arranged the GTG in The Netherlands
that some Swedes do have manners, can behave and are very much in love with Speedys!
So I got very very happy when the invitation arrived, and it was time to make some plans.
The event was on a Sunday, and I thought that a nice weekend holiday with my wife in Amsterdam would be great!
We took the Red-eye flight from Copenhagen, so we had the whole Friday and Saturday to play tourists.
Amsterdam is a lovely city, with the canals, old and majestic buildings, and lots and lots of restaurants/cozy bars!
Sunday morning came - with the final details regarding the location, how to get there and some other info.
One of Jordys most important thoughts are that we who are joining the GTG should feel safe with our watches and not have any worries!
Security was top priority!
On arrival, just looking at the place was amazing, the building itself is from 1754!
Jordy welcomed everybody with a great smile,
and there was coffee, drinks and snacks to start with, and after that - time to set the tables (with watches..
)!
Then the PARTY started!
Around fifty Speedy freaks laying out their wonderful collections, everybody wanting to look, have a chat and look some more!
And to finally meet Forum Friends that I only had been chatting with - So nice and heartwarming!
We talked watches, watches and watches…and of course other stuff as well!
The event started at eleven, and ended at five, and there was lots of food, snacks, and drinks.
And time to sit down and have a chat or two.
The vibe was very pleasing, everybody took their time talking about their own collection,
and also asked about other's collections - a true paradise for Speedy Freaks!
Jordy had also managed to invite the authors of the Moonwatch Only book, and they where very helpful and pleasing.
They also sign my copy of the book - YAY!!!
An extra bonus was that Omega (The Omega!!) had lots of new watches to show!
This event was the highlight of my year, and as I told my Forum Friends on the way home - who needs Christmas!!
Thanks to everyone/everybody, and thanks Jordy for making this happen!

And Sander - thanks for the ride to the airport - it was really nice hearing your roaring engine through the sunroof in the tunnel!

And the closing pictures - why the fluff do you have a Black/Black, you can't see what time it is....And Omega had the new one...!!
The laugh of the room I think?
