Just arrived, she is allowed to leave me again in favour of a new project.
Selling my beautiful Sinn 157 St Ty.
The movement is the famous Lemania 5100. I opened the watch and found a 1993 service mark, but it is really hard to read. The tritium dial and hands have been replaced by the new version with Superluminova.
Check out this link: https://www.sinn.de/en/Modell/157_St_Ty.htm
Condition:
Dial, hands and tachymeter scale look like new. The colours look stunning without fading or wear. The lume is bright and shines for hours. The pearl blasted case and bracelet have only minimal traces of wear. I couldn't find any rough impacts. Overall ist in a very good condition. It's hard to find a 157 in this condition. Many watches have been reworked and brushed instead of bead blasted. This one still has the original look. The saphire crystal is just perfect without any scratches. No traces of improper opening on the case back.
It´s not pressure tested, but all seals look intact. I cleaned it under the tap using a soft brush without any problems.
The crown is screwed down and snaps in perfectly in all positions. Quick adjustment for day and date.
The strap has a diver extension. The clasp shows traces of deskdiving that could be polished. The links are screwed individually. The measured maximum length is 20cm, at the wrist maybe a little less. It should fit up to 19,5cm wrist circumference.
Movement:
The Lemania 5100 starts at the smallest movement and keeps the time almost perfect. I noticed a deviation of -1sec/d from the radio clock while lying. The chronograph works perfectly, all hands jump back correctly to 0. The pushers need a little more pressure. The movement looks like new, no dirt or wear. Check out the pictures.
