当社は、本日開催の取締役会において、当社連結子会社であるオリエント時計株式会社の事業再編について検討を開始することを決議しましたので、下記のとおりお知らせいたします。

1. 事業再編を行う理由
エプソングループ（以下エプソン）は、2016年度から2025年度の10年間において目指す姿を示した 長期ビジョン「Epson 25」を2016年3月に制定しました。エプソンはこのEpson 25に基づき、「インクジェット」「ビジュアル」「ウエアラブル」「ロボティクス」という4つのイノベーション実現に向け、取り組みを進めています。オリ エント時計の事業再編は、オリエント時計の強みをエプソンに融合しウエアラブル機器事業の成長を加速させるもので、ウエアラブルイノベーションのビジョン 実現に向けた取り組みの一つになります。

ウオッチのDNAを基盤に、正確な時間とセンシングに磨きをかけ、個性あふれる製品群を創り出し、さまざまなお客様に着ける・使う喜びを提供します。

エプソンは今後さらに、機械式時計で長い歴史がありムーブメントの開発や企画・ デザイン、販売・サービス網などの強みを持つオリエント時計との融合を、ブランド強化も含め進めていきます。これにより、世の中になくてはならない独創の 価値を持つウエアラブル機器の提供を加速してまいります。

2. 今後の見通し
このたびの事業再編は、2017年4月に実施予定であり、オリエント時計の国内 販売機能はエプソン販売株式会社に統合し、その他の機能は当社に統合することを前提に検討を進めてまいります。なお今後、事業再編の具体的な方法を含めて 詳細の検討を進め、正式に決定した段階で改めてお知らせいたします。

本件に伴う2016年度連結業績への影響は軽微です。

Det vet jag. Tror faktiskt inte de lägger dessa under Orients paraply.
Orient känns för mycket mekanik för det. Tom logotypen andas ju 50-tal (även OS) och svunna tider.
Möjligtvis som ett sidomärke, eller egen produktlinje, för att ta del av befintliga återförsäljare. Smart canvas känns dessutom väldigt jdm.
