Nice Bellof !!!
I've really got a lot of love for the Montreal model. Its one the flies under the radar of many of the Heuer collectors but in my eyes underrated = reasonably priced !!!!

Just by coincidence i have this white Montreal on today

Congrats m8rt on your good taste

Thankyou.
Its really difficult to find one of these with a bright white dial. The majority have turned to an egg shell texture & stained to a cream or darker shade.

Sadly this one is set for the chopping block as i am considering selling it now.
I have an interested onlooker right now but if that deal falls through i may offer for sale through this forum.

Darren Cal.11/12; that white Montreal is just stunning...
Just because I'm curious; about how much are you asking for it? I might be interested...
(even if I dont "need" another vintage watch at his time...)

And please, please, pretty please - with sugar on top - show us more of your Heuer collection!

I ( think i ) have replied via private mail. Please let me know if you have not received it.

Here's an bonus Heuer photo , since you asked so nicely

Hej!
Kan ni Heuer-savanter bistå med lite know-how?
Vad kan vara rimligt värde på denna?
Carrera cal45, ref 3647, från ca -65. Head only, no box no papers. Inga papper på service. En kronoknapp ej orginal.
Privat ägare som är kompis.
Jag är sugen på köp men är osäker på prisbild.

Nice early example of the Carrera line up. Movement is the classic Valjoux.92 (45 min register version / some earlier Heuer's ran the rarer 30 mins version ).
Values of Carrera's , particularly the early ones are not my speciality so i will not quote a price.
If you are looking to help your friend sell i can put you in touch with someone who is chasing these models - just send me a private message.
Good luck - Darren

Henrik has posted a nice photo of his 11630 Silver Autavia.
I thought i'd return the favour an give you guys a look at my one on the plated bracelet.

Cheers - Darren

Ps - apologies - i can now see this is a very low-res quality photo . I will post a high-res version later in this thread

Your collection is sick. And the quality of your items is ridiculous. Can't imagine how many hours you've put in to track these pieces down and the money as well, but it's an investment and you can enjoy them as long as you like.

Thanks for sharing! :)

Thanks.
I can tell you i've spent a lot of time over the years, researching models, discussing finer points & filtering information.
Thankfully i bought the bulk of my collection about 7-8 years ago - i could never afford to build this collection now.
Back then it seemed there was little interest & few focused Heuer collectors , now it would seem to be in the top 10 of vintage collectable watches.
The earlier days of eBay were less busy. You recognised the other bidders names & often discussed auctions after they closed out.
The onthedash forum is the place i've gathered most if my information - its all there - it just requires research.
Cheers - Darren

Lovely 11630 (MH) ;) - and Darren, I am honestly happy for you, that you find the way to Heuer much earlier than I did.

Today there are 2 big points - one is the enormous money you need to pay for a good Heuer, but - at first you have to find one. The community grows since years... the numbers of watches of course not ;)

But I was in not too late - so find one or two good ones... like these cal 15, almost flying under the radar. But look at the indeces. This watch is a stunner in real live, I can tell you guys.

The story of a GMT, saved after many years of neglect !!

This sad looking Heuer Autavia GMT was listed on ebay a few years ago in poor condition & missing its iconic bezel. To be more specific this is one of the very rare first execution auto Autavia GMT's. These are most clearly identified by their narrow serial number range, factory modified Cal.11 movement (instead of the Cal.14's found in later models ), arrow style GMT hand & the ultra rare 1-24 pepsi bezel. We rarely see these watches offered up for sale which made it a desirable piece but the chances of turning up an original bezel would be near impossible - well almost !!!
I was lucky to have a correct, original bezel in my spares box. With this secret bezel safely in my hands i put in an offer on the watch & was quite frankly amazed when the seller agreed my low offer price !!! Pehaps he had researched the likelyhood of finding another bezel ????
Here it is as i purchased it off ebay ( sellers photo )
BEFORE

Note the cracked/crazed crystal & the many years of dirt crud stuck to it.

There was no doubt this watch was destined to be seen to by a Heuer specialist watchmaker, so off to one of my trusted contacts.
Disassembled the movement was serviced, the case, crown & pushers took an ultrasonic bath. Crystal & seals were replaced & finally the missing ingrediant, the all important bezel ! By sheer luck the fade of the bezel matched the rest of the watch. The good news continued from my watchmaker that the dial had even started to make the all too rare transition from black to dark chocolate.
Mmmmm, i love chocolate !!!

AFTER

I really need to take some better photos of this watch but i thought the readers here might appreciate a good before & after story.

Very nice story Darren! I also pick up spare part from time to time and it's nice to hear they sometimes come to good use.

Visst går de att få tag i men de kostar skjortan:/

Har mest enklare skjortor numera, så det kan kanske funka... ;-)

Allvarligt... några tips ang. beads of rice? Var leta? Priser? (i kronor/Euro/dollar snarare än skjortor)

This is a difficult bracelet to locate. The double rice Gay Freres bracelets were used on the 60's Carrera's, the Camaro , the screw back & compression case Autavia's. Each of these have their own end-pieces with a letter code stamped in them.
The ones you want are the 18mm HEL coded ones.
I cant imagine one coming up in an auction for under 1000 euros, they are highly prized by Heuer collectors & rarely traded on.

Good luck finding one. - Darren
