Hello everyone! I'm Vu, I'm new here, obviously, and thought I'd quickly introduce myself and why I joined this forum.
Like many people my age (mid-40's) I have worn watches my whole life, but didn't start to become interested in watches as more than just a time telling device until maybe 13 years ago. That interest only increased over the years, and a couple years ago it got to that tipping point where I created an instagram account just to post watch photos
and used my photography skills I've developed over the years to try and take little portraits of watches. That account is
@vubui.watches. I've lived here in Sweden for 12 years now and during that time have gotten to know many members of this forum through Instagram and various watch meetups in Stockholm. Everyone always said I should join, but I felt bad that I still don't speak Swedish after a decade and didn't want to "intrude". They all said it was fine, though, so here I am!
I have a wide range in my collection of watches of different styles, price points, and sizes. I don't believe, for the most part, that there are bad watches, just watches for people with different needs and tastes and wants and budgets. I do believe there are overpriced watches, though!
Anyway here is a self portrait I did recently while wearing a NOMOS Tetra. I'm also making it my profile image, so now you can recognize me if I post something!
