Vad är rimligt pris för denna Timor? Köpt utav Ziggy på
http://www.zmwmilitaria.com/.
"Having initially run the watch to ascertain that all was generally
okay, I began to strip the watch. At which point it was discovered
that the bolt spring (the part that makes the winder click between its
two positions), was corroded and whilst it was holding together, its
required removal caused the spring to disintegrate. A futile trip to
London to obtain a spare part, meant that I had to utilise the only
good one that I had and from my own Timor ATP! Still, I'll source
another? as the movement is not rare, being a Peseux 190 calibre.
Next, the intention was always to find a more suitable period crown (I
have a few old stock ATP crowns). However, the 1950's/60's crown that
had been fitted in, relied upon a thinner stem? So, having got a WW2
crown, a replacement military grade (thicker) stem was needed.
Fortunately I found one among my spares.
The original crystal was badly scratched, but otherwise not damaged.
So the crystal was polished to make its appearance more acceptable.
The movement was stripped and cleaned. With the removal of the years
of filth, meant that the cannon pinion was now too loose about the
centre of the watch. Consequently when the movement was assembled, it
became obvious that the hands were not being sufficiently driven by
the pinion, which relies on appropriate friction to work - More
remedial work was necessary and a decision was made to fit an old
stock pinion. Another problem was sorted.
The case was cleaned and the hands were recoated with an aged luminous
compound, using Luminova."
Nu är mitt spammande slut. Tack för förhand.
Planen är förövrigt att sälja klockorna här i sådana fall. Så jag frågar inte om hjälp och springer någon annan stans och säljer.
