I am from Denmark so my 2 cents in English to avoid misunderstandings.
This thread was brought to my attention via a danish watch forum and I thought that I would also comment on the case
I know Mads and I have done some deals with the guy and I have nothing but positive experiences, but I'll try to remain unbiased. Mads knows all there is to know about vintage Rolex, AP and Pateks – But honestly to expect from a greymarket seller that he should know every specific detail around every reference from every brand is ludicrous. You would have to be Rainman to do that.
That being said, I do FULLY agree that errors should be corrected and to my understanding Mads has also tried to do this by offering a compensation or return ( initially at a lower price though), but has been faced with a buyer who was not willing to negotiate, even though he is also at fault to a small extent here by using the watch. And lets be honest guys, it is not like it's a different watch that has been delivered. We're talking about an inner pillow of a Panerai Box (as far as I know the wooden box itself is the same for a lot of other Panerai references, but then again I am no Panerai specialist at all), as well as a plastic crystal – and not a LE watch. Not exactly something that warrants for example an 8.000 SEK discount (don't know what the buyer had in mind so just an example). If it had been MISSING the box or warranty for that matter, it would be an entirely different case altogether and I would have no issue claiming a 8-10.000 SEK deduction.
Mads has offered to return the watch for a full refund, so In my opinion case closed, buyer is happy.
What I DON'T like is the type of ISIL style lynchmob justice practiced in this particular thread, where Mads is be-headed before he has had a chance to tell his side of the story. I don't blame him for pulling the plug.
Additionally I have zero respect for people who create a userprofile on a danish forum, with the sole intention to slander another user/seller in his first and only post ever just to cause as much damage as possible. That truly makes me want to vomit.
But I am happy that the case has found its solution and hopefully everyone can move on
