Its impossible to guess how far this rare rare piece will go - its fair to say this is the first one of these ever offered up for sale in an auction format.
This is going to go a long way !!!!

This is one of the first of the first execution Autavia's most obviously noted from the full-lume dauphine hour & minute hands. There are a few other dead give aways that the "super nerd" Heuer collectors will be able to see but this is now one of 6 ( or is it 7 ) known.
This really is the most desireable model Autavia at the moment, i recieve a number of emails from people each month trying to get me to sell mine to them. I know the condition is not all that impressive but this is the father of all the great racing Heuer's of the 1960's.
They simpley DONT come up for sale !!!!
Its a case of - if you want one this is your only chance !!!!

My guess is the seller had no idea what he was selling !!!
His ebay history shows a string of watch sales in the € 10-50 range. That and his lack of additional info ( such as case number & photo of the movement ) lead me to believe he had no hint it was so valuable

Thank you for the info! The seller must be in shock! 6 nervwrecking days left, lots of wine and cigarettes I guess.

How far can it go? Mil?

This is sick!!! Will follow the auction with interest. This is perhaps the kind of watch that should be sold at one of the bigger auction houses and not eBay , but perhaps this add some charm to it:)
