https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/blood-in-the-water-water-in-its-blood-a-brief-history-of-squale
"Other than EPSA, Squale was the big dive watch casemaker of the '60s and '70s and its 50 Atmos case, with its distinctive 4:00 crown position, was used by brands like Blancpain, Auricoste, DOXA, and (TAG) Heuer all the way into the 1980s. In the mid-70s, the German military approached Blancpain for a version of its Fifty Fathoms for use by its combat diver division. In turn, Blancpain turned to Squale for a case and the result was the now-famous "Bund" Fifty Fathoms. That same 50 Atmos case was used for a short time by DOXA on its SUB 600T though it proved to be far less popular than DOXA's original SUB design. In the 1980s, around the time Heuer was becoming TAG Heuer, the company used that same Squale case for its 1000 meter Professional diver, and vintage examples can still be found with either Heuer or TAG Heuer on the dial, sometimes co-branded with French dive gear company Spirotechnique, and with either an automatic or quartz-powered movement inside."
