Rolex - Tråden där ni diskuterar ”värdeökning”, listor, orättvisor och spåkulor

Hur ser det ut hos Rob. Engström – skulle de inte förlora Rolex vid årsskiftet? Ser att Rolex fortfarande står kvar på deras hemsida, men det kan bero på att de är sega med att uppdatera hemsidan.
 
Jeg har i alle fall kommet til at jeg trolig har kjøpt min siste nye Rolex.

Det gjelder ikke bare Rolex, men også mange andre "pretensiøse" merker. Prisene har blitt absurde. Heldigvis finnes det noen merker som er noenlunde edruelige og som gir VFM. Tudor comes to mind, og en del microbrands. Heck, en Speedmaster kostet 29.000 kroner for kun få år siden, og nå nesten 100.000. Galskap. Glad for å eie de få Rolex jeg allerde har. Synes de nye koster alt, alt for mye.

Det som er litt trist, men også risky, er at forbrukerne en dag plutselig får nok - og da er hele "Swiss watch industry" fuck'd og de må drikke eplejuice på events fremfor champagne og gå i t-shirts fremfor bespoke suits på W&W, et. al.
 
En ting til.

Når man ser mange klokkemerker med en utrolig fancy presentasjon, tilstedeværelse, display og events - så må man jo være idiot for å ikke skjønne at når man kjøper en klokke fra disse merkene, så betaler man direkte for disse events og champagnen til folka der.

Det som er litt artig, er at Rolex ikke gir deg anledning til å se direkte hva pengene går til - utenom markedsføringsevents (tennis, F1, etc).

Det er sjelden man ser Rolex står og skåler i champagne på toppen av et snødekt fjell, der alle går i smoking og fotside kjoler. Så, jeg vil tro Rolex pumper mer penger inn i sine produkter, enn mange andre merker - som bruker pengene fra salg på events og (dyr) champagne.

Hur hanteras detta av Rolex på svenska marknaden?
Omfördelas Robs ungefärliga antal till andra ADs, och hur ser den omfördelningen ut då? Spontant bör ju Nymans kunna utöka mest om man utgår från geografisk närhet.

Jag kan inte tänka mig att utbudet/möjligheterna på nya Rolex i Sverige ska landa på något annat än plus/minus noll på vår marknad bara för att en aktör tappar ad status.

Ja, det är ungefär så jag förstått att det funkar efter att ha läst här på KS. Deras allokeringar går mer eller mindre till andra ADs istället.

Boring answer: it depends. Even if you get an estimation, it can take much longer/shorter than the given estimation.

Since you're not a customer to Nymans yet I'd suggest you visit the store again so you become more memorable/establish a relationship and ask for the aproximate time in your politest manner and make their day a little bit better than before you walked in.

(But don't rely on the estimation being correct.)

I have to say their service was top notch and the guy I dealt with actually noted that my wedding is in September and might help speed up the process.
Also I chose the Oyster straps instead of Jubilee which he told me is not as common and usually would get seen to faster.
Just need to pray now that I get it before September :D
For sure I will check in like you mentioned, you don't think an email follow up would be enough ?

An email would suffice if you only want the answer to your question. If I were in your shoes, I'd take every chance/"reasonable" reason to go there in person to make myself recognizable and build a relationship. I think that's one way that might increase your chances of getting it earlier, and sending an email is probably not. Lots of "perhaps's" and "might's".

When i was at Bergströms in Gothenburg this September they hade date just up for grab so long you did not wanted the fluted-jubilee combo.
Might want to check another dealer for your watch?

Go to NK (nordiska kompaniet) and shop some nice clothes and dress nice next time you are visiting the staff at Nymans. You want to look wealthy. And also make sure to extend your membership at the gym and hit your front and side delts. This combination will give you the illusion of an alpha male with lots of money. Many haters will say that this is a myth. Don’t listen to them. Good luck and congratz!

The colour of the dial is the main reason for different delivery times.
Did you choose green, then you will have to wait a long time.
I signed up for a DJ41, black dial smooth bezel jubilee. Took 5 months to get.

Sweet yeah I went for the DJ36 with mint green dial + oyster bracelet.
The watch has much sentimental value to me before I've even received it.. being a green dial (I'm irish) and also 2024 model.. 2024 has been a really good year for me.
Hoping it doesn't take so long, I can't contain my excitement tbh.

If they said so i also think that you should have it before September😁. Nice to hear others experience also at the Ad s! I am still waiting for my first Rolex.. now 8 months in of the one year that they told me. Checked in by email last month and they said that i would get it now in Spring .. so i hold my thumbs for that 😜

Yeah I've got lots of faith in them from what my experience was like. Really felt welcomed and looked after.

I bought a Tudor BB39 TT in November -23, and got put on the list for a DJ41 fluted bezel, blue dial. Got “the call” in September -24.
